Sunflower.mov: A Name That Grows with Me

Hi, I’m Carine Hobeika, a 24-year-old Graphic Designer and Visual Storyteller known online as Sunflower.mov.

Why the name Sunflower.mov? The name goes back to my time in Japan. During those years, my mentors, boss, and colleagues often described me as “Carine-chan is as bright as a sunflower.” It became more than just a compliment; it was a reflection of how they saw me: someone who always kept her head high, even in challenging situations. I was the one who stayed positive, reassured every client, and found light in the most complex moments.

Like a sunflower that turns toward the sun, I’ve always tried to face whatever comes my way with warmth, resilience, and a quiet strength. Sunflower.mov is a tribute to that spirit, and a reminder of where it all started. And being raised in Lebanon, in a multilingual household—Arabic, French, English, and Italian—my upbringing helped shape a deep appreciation for culture, community, and connection which was my strong tool during my time in Japan.

Now, I'm beginning a new chapter in Europe, where I hope to continue merging design with storytelling. Whether I’m crafting visual identities, capturing moments through photography, or sharing insights to support my clients, my work is rooted in emotion, color, and clarity.

Sunflower.mov is more than a portfolio, it’s a personal journal, a love letter to stillness and motion, and a space for meaningful collaborations.

Whether you're here to explore or collaborate, I’m glad our paths crossed.
Let’s create something beautiful: visually and beyond.
